Sneakylearn (sneakylearn.com) publishes Sneakylearn. Here is what happens to information when you visit, stated as plainly as we can manage.
Who Else Is Involved
This site may involve a hosting provider, an analytics provider, an email service (only if you subscribe), and advertising partners (only where advertising is served). Some process data strictly on our behalf; advertising and analytics vendors typically act as controllers in their own right.
What Comes In
The data involved falls into two buckets. Passively collected: log and analytics information — IP address, device and browser — about the connection used to reach sneakylearn.com, and the path taken through the site. Actively provided: an email address for the mailing list, comment details, or the contents of a message to us.
One thing worth stating plainly for a site about Sneakylearn: we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.
Keeping Data Safe
Anything we hold has a limited life: it is kept while needed for the purpose it was collected for, then removed or allowed to expire. We use access controls and encryption in transit, and take reasonable steps overall, while being clear that no method of transmission or storage is entirely secure.
What It Is Used For
Uses are: site operation and security, aggregate traffic analysis so we know what to write next, fulfilment of newsletter subscriptions, and support for advertising where advertising is being served.
Children’s Data
Sneakylearn is not aimed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13, or under 16 where that is the applicable age. We do not knowingly gather information from children, and anything of that kind that reaches us is deleted.
Control You Have
Rights available to you may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. The GDPR covers UK and EU readers; the CCPA/CPRA and similar state statutes cover much of the US. We act on Global Privacy Control signals. See Do Not Sell or Share and the State Privacy Notice.
Cookies in Brief
- Cookies and similar browser storage are covered separately, in detail, in our Cookie Policy.
-
Where advertising is served, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Mailing List
Subscribing takes two steps: you submit an address, then confirm it from that address. All email includes an unsubscribe link and a postal address as required, and the list is never sold, rented, or shared for others’ marketing.
